Pylaia Hotel

Pylaia Boutique Hotel is a small luxury hotel in the island of Astypalea, built in 2009. A minimal contemporary design hotel with traditional Astypalean architectural elements; it consists of the central building with the basic hotel facilities and 5 small two-floor buildings with the rooms and the suites.

Pylaia Boutique Hotel took its name after the old name of the island of Astypalaia. According to historical recordings, the locals used to call the island Pylaia due to its morphology; the numerous coves ('pyles' in Greek) around the island.

Pylaia Boutique Hotel is located in the picturesque Chora of Astypalaia, hardly 200m from the central square which is dominated by the figure of the 9 traditional mills that are well-preserved till our times. It is built on a bank of a hill, in an extent of 2 acres, with a view to the sea, and the coves of Aichyli, Agios Konstantinos, Papoy and Tzanaki. In a distance of hardly 300m you can visit one of the most beautiful places of the island, Livadi, definitely the best-organized beach in the island.
